Although education is a universal human right, today there are still 67 million children in the world that don’t go to school. More than half of them live in countries touched by conflict or natural disaster. After the first 72 hours into a crisis, the Emergency Schools are able to offer these children a sense of security, psychological support, an education, a perspective of the future and a strong sign of reconstruction of society.
Yet, this extremely useful initiative only represents 2% of all international humanitarian aid. This has to be, at the least, doubled.
That’s the reason why your name on this petition is so important. Thanks to your support extra funds might be released by Belgian authorities and the Emergency Schools will be better sustained. The future of many children depends on it.
Get involved and send a maximum number of children to school!
